The most important Scripture in the Islamic faith is the Qur'an. Muslims believe the Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel. The Hadith, believed to be sayings of Muhammad, are also important in Islam, but do not have the same status as the Qur'an.
